FIREFIGHTERS to be honored at SachetoberFest 2023!

On August 6, 2023, a mid-air collision occurred between two helicopters suppressing a fire in the community of Cabazon.

Assistant Chief Josh Bishof , Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez and Exclusive Use Pilot Tony Sousa all perished.

The memorial service for Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez will be held August 21, 2023, at the Ontario Convention Center located at 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario CA.

The memorial service for Assistant Chief Josh Bischof will be held August 24, 2023, at the Toyota Arena located at 4000 Ontario Center Parkway. Ontario CA.

The RCPFBF has established an In-Kind Fund to assist the Rodriguez & Bischof Families as they deal with the unforeseen passing of Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez & Assistant Chief Josh Bischof.  The CAL FIRE Southern Region Staff & CAL FIRE Riverside Unit in coordination with CAL FIRE Local 2881 Honor Guard are currently assisting their families, and friends deal with their unforeseen passing. To help offset the costs associated with their funerals and to support the families, these In-Kind funds have been established.

RCPFBF NEW LOGO

CAL FIRE RRU and RCFD Fire Family,

The RCPFBF is looking to update our logo after 20 years of serving the Firefighters and Families of Riverside County.  We know there are some very creative personnel within our ranks.  We are asking you to share your great ideas for a design that will be used to rebrand the RCPFBF current logo.  Please submit your designs to [email protected] a PDF file is preferred, but all file types are welcomed. The selected design will replace our current logo and be used professionally, so design accordantly (no skulls or cartoon characters please).  WE are looking for a design that can be used in multiple formats including print, screening, embroidery and engraving.  The designer that submits the chosen logo will receive a $200 Amazon gift card and recognition for the design.

This contest will run until August 31st, 2023.  All submissions become the property of the Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund.

The Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund is proud to support the firefighters and cooperators in Riverside County.  The firefighters of Riverside County provide fire and EMS services to one of the largest counties in California.  It is the goal of the Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund to be able to support those men and women in their time of need.  The Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund is a 501c3 (Non Profit) and is comprised of a board of Directors.  The Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund not only supports the firefighters of Riverside County, it also supports other nonprofit originations that are affiliated with the fire service, such as cancer research and the burn institutes.  The Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund has also aligned itself with CDF Firefighters Riverside Chapter Employees Association a 501c4, to help support the organizations that are directly represented by its membership, such as, diabetes and cancer research, RAGNAR and several sporting teams that are directly comprised of CALFIRE Local 2881 members.  These teams in turn also raise funds for other nonprofit organizations represented by the fire community.  In addition to direct assistance to the firefighting community and other non-profits, we have aligned ourselves with financial organizations to assist our members with their other financial needs.

Mission Statement
The Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund is organized for the purpose of providing physical, financial, and emotional support to our members and their families during times of need. Our support is provided by an all-volunteer Board of Directors in a non-political and non-denominational manner.

Donations
All donations made are tax deductible, under IRS 501(c)3 laws and regulations. A receipt will be provided to you via mail showing your donation. All monetary donations are used to assist the members of the Association and/or for other charitable ventures that our Association supports.
