From Station 76
Station 76 has participated in the 2019 Fire Safety Expo and Demolition Derby at the San Diego Fair. Station 76 participated for the first time and placed 4th out of 16 teams. We were top three in fundraising with all proceeds benefiting the burn foundation. Station 76 raised $8000 dollars with the help of our sponsors. This event was a great success and we challenge more stations in the Riverside Unit to participate and enter cars next year. We would like to think team leader Eric Sauerwein, Driver/Lead mechanic Bryce Wagner and Chad Burns for donating his car for the event. We were diffidently the fan favorites and look forward to participating next year.

The Fire & Safety Expo and Firefighter Demolition Derby takes place on the opening day of the San Diego County Fair and is by far the Burn Institute’s most popular event among the fire service! The derby offers sponsors a unique opportunity to associate with local fire service and gain exposure while contributing towards a good cause. Cheer on your Firefighter Derby Team and support the Burn Institute!
